The “Public Relations”-division / -Ressort


The Public Relations Ressort is one of the main departments in fforst to advertise events, inform neighbours and in general do outside representation. Their main task is to bring up the image of fforst to the outside and by creating a welcoming atmosphere (on flyers, posters & so on) for the events we host. The short name is usually PR-Division / Ressort.


PR-Tasks


Tasks: The work of PR-Ressort can be distributed into four main parts: media, neighbours, merchandise and events.

  1. Media contains homepage, social media (especially facebook and instagram) and contact to the press and important organisations in the city.
  2. To invite the friendly neighbours to our events and inform and keep the negative neighbours calm, we inform them about our events on a regular basis. This is not just due to our deference, but also because the officials in some departments (WoWi, Ordnungsamt) want us to do it monthly. Everyone should know that not every neighbour is hating us and we also get positive reactions, friendly words, donations, etc.
  3. Merchandise contains the planning and realization of things like t-shirts, bags, buttons, stickers and important as well - business cards. This part of the Ressort-work is really creative and every generation brings something new.
  4. Events are a big part of the Ressort-work. If the responsible people do not want to make the flyers themselves, PR-Ressort takes over this work, takes care of creating, printing and contributing the flyers and maybe even posters.

As every Ressort they have regular meetings and a protocol is also written during the meetings to help remembering and giving information to the people who could not participate.

Important terms and organisations


  1. Slubice24 - a homepage (http://slubice24.pl/wiadomosci/kultura), where among other things, events are promoted on the polish side of our city.
  2. Uni-Screens - the screens at the university (GD), where information about upcoming events are presented to everyone at the university. This should be used!
