Semester cleaning day

Cleaning days happen two times a year. Usually they take place in spring (‘Spring Cleaning’) and autumn (‘Autumn Cleaning’). A doodle will be created by the HOD (House Organization Division) in order to find the “right” date. At an assembly the ‘Cleaning Day Date’ will be made public.

During the cleaning days we are cleaning the Eventetage (EE) and the terrace, and we also reorganize the basements. We are cleaning things which the weekly cleaning shift is usually not doing (e.g., cleaning the windows of EE, and all those spots that nobody wants to clean).

A checklist is put up on a board with all the tasks that must be done. Laminated cards with tasks are in the cupboard of the office which always can be reused. Other tasks can be written onto a flip chart.

Members choose a task and put their name in. There is also the possibility to clean things earlier, if you don't have time at the day. For this, you have to contact the House Organization Division and inform them about it.
