Most of our events go along with an open bar. As we are a housing project, every fförster has to overtake a barshift from time to time (aprox. 4-5 barshifts per Semester). Ususally there is a list going around at the assembly.
A barshift takes usually 2 hours and there will be always 2 persons per shift.

Some things, you have to know:
- there is 1 Euro deposit on the glass bottles and glasses. Upon selling a beverage in a bottle or glass, you hand out a fforst pin to the people (they are usually at the bar)
- Fförsters (old and new) have a price reduction of 50 Eurocent.
- If you have registered yourself in the barshift list and suddenly dont have time, you have to look yourself for a replacement.
- DO NOT ALLOW GUESTS TO COME BEHIND THE BAR AREA
Before the Event starts (first shift)
- You have to be sure that the money box is at the bar. Otherwise, you won't be able to work properly. In case it is not there, please contact the Third Board Member (in case you don't reach him/her, please contact another board member).
- Make sure you have enough drinks in the fridges.
- Organize the bar area so you can work properly
- Have in mind who is the covering the next shift, so you know who will be responsible
What do you have to do during a barshift?
- you sell beverages and drinks
- you clean glasses (if it is a big event, you will ask a good fförsti to do this task for you)
- you clean the bar area (if it is a big event, you will ask a good fförsti to do this task for you)
- you put empty bottles back in the crates (remember that beer with beer, cola with cola, club mate with club mate. DO NOT MIX THEM)
- you put new beverages into the fridges, if its necessary.
- At the end of the your barshift, you count the money together with your partner and fill the paper sheet.
What do you have to do if you are doing the last bar shift?
- if you are the last shift, you take the money box into the office or to your flat (if nobody is in the office).
- you try to put all bottles that were left in the EE back into the crates
- you close and lock the main door
- you turn off the heatings
- you turn off the drinks fridge and leave its door open (to avoid mold)
